2.13.0 · Helm v2.13.0 - Raspberry Caramel Latte Edition · 1y+

Helm v2.13.0 is a feature release. This release, we focused on stability and a few key features to enhance the usability of Helm. Users are encouraged to upgrade for the best experience.

Breaking Changes

In this release, we made a backwards-incompatible change to the gRPC API. To avoid backward compatibility breakers, we have been pinned to a very old version of gRPC for some time. Recent versions of gRPC fixed some significant networking fixes with TLS connection handling, but it required us to regenerate a few of the proto files, so some parts of the binary wire format may be broken in backwards-incompatible ways.

If you are working on a project that relies on the Helm client libraries, please update your dependencies before upgrading to Helm 2.13.

Installation and Upgrading

Download Helm 2.13. The common platform binaries are here:

Once you have the client installed, upgrade Tiller with helm init --upgrade.

The Quickstart Guide will get you going from there. For upgrade instructions or detailed installation notes, check the install guide. You can also use a script to install on any system with bash.

What's Next

  • v2.13.1 will contain only bug fixes.
  • v2.14.0 is the next feature release.
